Building Community

Jesus is at the center of everything we do at CLC. We Gather, Grow, and Go in His name. Our past, present, and future are centered on Jesus Christ. Our purpose on this earth is to passionately pursue making Him known among "all" people.

“For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”

Colossians 1:16-17

Sharing Life

Shared life is essential to God’s plan of redemption and provides a strategic avenue for God’s entry into an alienated world.  A great illustration of this is found in the mighty oak tree.  At the beginning of an oak's life, when an acorn first sprouts, most of its energy is spent on root development, with little growth above ground.  The initial root is the tap root, which grows deep underground, seeking a dependable supply of moisture.  Soon the tap root is surpassed by an extensive root system spreading horizontally.  This lateral mass of roots will bring the tree moisture and nutrients for its lifetime.  When matured it can total hundreds of miles.  The system of roots as it circulates nutrients to the tree has the ability to graft and share life with other oak trees nearby.  This configuration is the source of health or illness of the tree, and when the strong winds come blowing, it serves as an anchor, keeping it firmly grounded.

At CommunityLife Church, just as the oak tree, our passion and herart's desire is to share life with others, allowing a grafting together.
